The large scale structure of the Universe as traced by dark matter. Here, visualized with an inverted colormap, such that the lowest density regions (voids) are white, while the highest density regions (filaments and halos) become black. Superimposed, in yellow, is a representation of the light from stars in galaxies, which occupy the centers of halos.
